A tornado look alike waterspout hovers over Auckland

A Waterspout was formed in Auckland's Hauraki Gulf in the mid-afternoon on February 15th 2012. On a rainy humid Auckland day the ominous looking waterspout arrived at approx 3:50pm slowly faded after approx 15 minutes. Photos taken below from a mobile phone camera in Birkenhead on Auckland's North Shore show the waterspout casted over the Auckland Hauraki Gulf with the Auckland skyline in the background.
