  • Northport of Marsden Point is a New Zealand deep-water port

    The Northport of Marsden Point is the deepest water port in New Zealand. It is situated south of Whangarei with the only New Zealand oil refining complex as neighbour. There are three current berths making up to a total wharf length of 570m with a fourth one on the horizon. There is room to expand into the fifth one when the need arises. Currently, the bulk of the export cargoes made up of logs, wood chips, coal, and a range of other products including standard containers. The Northport of Marsden Point Northland of New Zealand was first completed for export and import in June 2002 and its expansion gathers from strength to strength.
